Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is a luxury hotel located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The building that now houses the hotel was originally built in 1934 as a private residence for the Duhau family, one of Argentina's wealthiest and most prominent families at the time. The building was designed by the French architect Leon Dourge and built by the Argentine construction company Bunge & Born.

The Palacio Duhau remained in the Duhau family until the 1970s when it was sold to the Argentine government and converted into a state-owned office building. In 1994, the building was acquired by the Hyatt Corporation and began an extensive renovation and restoration project to convert the building into a luxury hotel.

The restoration of the Palacio Duhau was a massive undertaking that involved the careful preservation of many of the building's original features, including its neo-classical façade, grand staircase, and ornate ceilings. The hotel's interior was designed by the renowned Argentine architect Mario Roberto Alvarez, who created a modern, elegant space that seamlessly blends the building's historic architecture with contemporary design elements.

Today, the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is widely regarded as one of the most luxurious hotels in South America. In addition to its 165 guest rooms and suites, the hotel features a range of amenities, including a spa, fitness center, outdoor pool, and several dining options. The hotel also boasts an extensive collection of contemporary Argentine art, with pieces by some of the country's most renowned artists displayed throughout the property.
